Natural fiber flax is used to make socks

The natural hammer like structure of flax fiber and the unique structure of pectin beveled edge hole have achieved its characteristics of moisture absorption, heat dissipation, breathability, heat preservation, health care, bacteriostasis, antifouling and anti-static.

On the flax yarn spun from flax fiber, one of the characteristics of natural fiber can be seen - the existence of "nodules", or small, soft and irregular lumps randomly appearing along the length of the yarn. In the past, "nodules" were usually considered as defects. However, under many types of linen fabrics, especially in the decorative furniture industry, nodules are considered to be part of the aesthetic appeal of expensive natural products. In addition, nodules will not damage the integrity of flax fabric, but the best proof of natural flax fiber. However, high-quality flax has a very consistent diameter line, and the nodules are even and natural.

The linen fabric feels cool. It is smooth, so that the finished fabric will not fuzz, and the more you wash, the softer it will become. Wearing flax fabric in summer can reduce skin temperature by 4-8 ℃, so flax is known as "natural air conditioner". The strength of flax is 2-3 times that of cotton. Being strong and wear-resistant is another characteristic of flax as a natural fiber.

We know that mold, sweat or acid-base liquid will damage the fabric, but because flax is not animal fiber and does not contain keratin, it is not affected by borers and bacteria and fungi. On the contrary, flax fabric is easy to maintain and has strong self-cleaning ability. It can resist dirt and stains and has no tendency to fuzz or pilling. It can be washed by hand, machine or water. Cleaning and maintenance are also very simple and easy.

Linen fabric will be biodegraded after being buried in the soil for a few weeks. During the planting process, the water for flax is only 50% of that for cotton. No pesticides are used. Linen fiber can be processed without chemicals, which is why flax has become a more sustainable choice.

It is also a good idea to use flax for knitting socks. Socks woven with 100% flax yarn and elastic fiber have greatly improved in terms of comfort, antibacterial property and wear resistance. More importantly, as "recyclable" waste, socks can effectively reduce the harm to the environment.
